Welcome to SafariLeo, a leading marketplace that connects travelers with independent tour operators, guides, and travel agencies across Africa. By using SafariLeo’s platform (website, mobile app, and related services), you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with any of the terms outlined below, please do not use SafariLeo’s services.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • By signing up for SafariLeo, booking a tour, or using the platform in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use.
  • These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you (the Traveler) and SafariLeo (operated by Mediapix Limited).
  • SafariLeo reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time, and continued use of the platform signifies your acceptance of any changes.

 

2Role of SafariLeo

  • SafariLeo is an online marketplace that provides a platform for travelers to discover, compare, and book experiences offered by independent tour operators, guides, and travel agencies.
  • SafariLeo does not own, operate, or manage any of the tours or services listed on the platform.
  • SafariLeo is not responsible for tour execution, safety, delays, cancellations, or quality of service—these are the responsibility of the tour operator or service provider.
  • All bookings, payments, cancellations, and disputes must be handled according to the policies outlined in this agreement.

 

3 Booking & Payment Policy

  • All payments are securely processed through SafariLeo’s platform using credit/debit cards, mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel Money), PayPal, Stripe, or other accepted payment methods.
  • SafariLeo holds all payments in escrow until the tour is successfully completed.
  • A confirmation email and digital receipt will be provided upon successful booking.
  • Travelers must ensure that the booking details, including tour dates, price, and itinerary, are correct before confirming payment.
  • Once a booking is confirmed, the traveler agrees to abide by the tour operator’s specific terms and conditions regarding participation, requirements, and additional charges (if applicable).

 

4Cancellation & Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellation Request & Timeline

  • Travelers must submit a written cancellation request at least seven (7) days before the scheduled tour to be eligible for a refund.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted through the following official channels:

    Online Chat Support on SafariLeo’s website or mobile app.
  • Cancellation requests made less than seven (7) days before the tour date will not be eligible for a refund.

4.2 Refund Process & Service Fee

  • If a valid cancellation request is received at least seven (7) days in advance, a refund will be processed minus a 15% service fee to cover administrative costs incurred by SafariLeo.
  • Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for booking and will be processed within 7-14 business days.

Example:

  • A traveler books a $1,000 safari.
  • If canceled 7+ days in advance, the traveler receives $850, after deducting the 15% service fee ($150).

4.3 Refund Exceptions & Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will not be provided under the following circumstances:
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour date.
No-shows or late arrivals—failure to arrive at the designated pickup point at the agreed time will result in the booking being forfeited.
Dissatisfaction based on personal expectations—refunds will not be provided if a traveler subjectively dislikes the tour after participation.
Cancellations due to traveler-related issues such as visa denials, missing flights, or personal emergencies.

4.4 Operator Cancellations

  • If a tour operator cancels the tour, the traveler is entitled to a full refund.
  • SafariLeo will facilitate the refund process but is not responsible for compensating travelers for additional expenses, such as flights, accommodations, or third-party bookings.

 

5. Traveler Responsibilities & Liability

5.1 Responsibilities of the Traveler

By booking a tour through SafariLeo, the Traveler agrees to:
✔️ Provide accurate personal information when creating an account and making a booking.
✔️ Comply with the tour operator’s participation requirements, including age restrictions, physical fitness, and equipment needs.
✔️ Arrive at the designated meeting point on time—failure to do so may result in forfeiting the booking without refund.
✔️ Obtain all necessary travel documents, such as:

  • Valid passport and visas (if required).
  • Travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal property.
  • Health-related requirements, such as vaccinations (if applicable).

5.2 SafariLeo’s Limited Liability

  • SafariLeo is not responsible for:
    ❌ Accidents, injuries, or damages that occur during a booked tour.
    ❌ Tour delays or cancellations caused by the operator.
    ❌ Loss of personal belongings during the trip.
    ❌ Traveler misconduct, health issues, or failure to follow operator instructions.
  • Travelers are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance to cover any unexpected incidents.

6Dispute Resolution

6.1 Dispute Process

  • If a traveler encounters issues with a tour, they must first attempt to resolve the matter directly with the tour operator.
  • If no resolution is reached, the traveler must submit a written complaint to SafariLeo within 48 hours of the scheduled tour completion.
  • SafariLeo will review the dispute and attempt to mediate a fair resolution, but does not guarantee refunds beyond the cancellation policy.

6.2 Legal Actions & Liability Waiver

  • By using SafariLeo, the traveler acknowledges that SafariLeo is not responsible for direct, indirect, or consequential damages related to any tour booking.
  • Any legal disputes shall be governed by the laws of [Insert Country] and resolved in the courts of [Insert Jurisdiction].

 

7Platform Usage & Account Security

7.1 Traveler Accounts

  • Travelers must create an account to book services and are responsible for securing their login credentials.
  • SafariLeo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts suspected of fraudulent or harmful activities.

7.2 Data Protection & Privacy

  • SafariLeo collects user data in compliance with its Privacy Policy.
  • No personal information will be shared with third parties without user consent, except as required by law.

 

8Changes to Terms & Conditions

  • SafariLeo reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time.
  • Significant changes will be communicated to users via email or in-app notifications.
  • Continued use of SafariLeo after updates take effect constitutes agreement to the revised Terms.

 

9Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for SafariLeo and booking a tour, the traveler confirms that they:
✅ Have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use.
✅ Acknowledge the 7-day cancellation rule and 15% refund service fee.
✅ Understand that SafariLeo is a marketplace, not a tour operator, and assumes no liability for services provided by third parties.
